I spoke to Dragoman tours today…
Unfortunately for me all staff must be 25yrs or older. I have a feeling that some part of this is to do with insurance. A lot of other normal HGV driving jobs have a lower age limit of 25.
Still – ever onwards as they say.
On a happier note – hello to all my readers!
After spending a while on sites like entrecard.com and feedburner I have finally managed to attract some of you over my little corner of the blogosphere.
Long may that continue. Also, thanks to Feedburner you can now be emailed with all the updates from this page as they come. Simply fill in the form to the right at any time, or – for a limited time only here -

Well…how old are you? I had to get out of the office too because I was going crazy…now I work from home most days of the week but my secure income comes from delivering the mail as a sub carrier. And it fulfills my want of driving around and “exploring” every road…but it’s not *my* gas! And I love to travel very much.

Megan,
Hi – I’m 22 at this very moment in time, yup that would have been essential information for that post!
Delivering mail is not something I had considered as being a way to travel.
Mind you in the metropolis that is London I’m not sure I would want to explore every street!
Still – thanks for the idea! And the added benefit of it not being your Fuel… Currently to fill up my own van costs the equivalent of $105.94 (USD).
Thanks for reading and thanks for the ideas.

Ah, true! I don’t think I could be a city carrier (the routes I drive are anywhere from 53-85km long, so far I’ve driven 9 different routes).
I’m sure you’ll be able to find an alternative career! There are so many of them out there. How about being part of a carrier service? Sometimes someone will give you some documents and pay for your plane tickets. Might be worth looking into! Good luck
